Long live the Urban Backpack!
You wanted it, you chose it, you love it and you wear it every day. Your Urban Backpack deserves to live a long time, and for that to happen you need to follow a few simple steps that we have prepared for you.
If it does get dirty, you can wash the Urban backpack by hand with cold water and perhaps a dash of mild neutral soap.
It is preferable to wipe the dirty area with a damp cloth only, so as to avoid the dispersion of microplastics.
Make sure the water used is cold as felt is highly susceptible to shrinkage in hot water.
Wipe the felt first with a damp cloth (with vegetable soap if necessary) on the felt part and only afterwards on the vegan leatherette, because rubbing the leatherette too much may leave black marks and doing the opposite will dirty the felt.
Wipe the black leatherette with a microfibre cloth to avoid drying spots.
To eliminate lint created by wear and tear, you can use one of these tools, depending on what you have available:
- Lint remover comb
- Electric lint remover
Wipe the felt areas to be treated with the razor or razorblade gently, taking care not to overdo it, especially near seams.
If you have formed any unnecessary balls, you can also carefully cut them off with scissors.
For cleaning and maintenance you can also treat leatherette by wiping a cloth or cotton pad with cleansing milk: this helps to remove stains and nourishes the material.
Wipe the entire surface of the leatherette with a microfibre cloth to finish the treatment.
You can also use black shoe polish with a special brush to polish, but be careful not to get any dirt on the felt.
With the right care, your Urban Backpack will last a long time!
You can use the same process for the Urban PC Case and the Urban Pouch.
